The School of St. Jude is filled with willing students who appreciate the opportunity to get an outstanding education.  I visit often.  Each time, I see measurable improvements in teaching.   I notice the changes especially when I talk to Vedasto, who is sponsored by my children; his English gets markedly better each visit.

"RAISING AWARENESS NOT MONEY"

Continually we are being asked, "How can I help?" or "Gemma, I don’t have much money but I have a lot of energy and enthusiasm so how can I direct this to giving support to The School of St Jude?". Well, I've come up with an idea that should answer those questions, won't take up too much of your time and should be fun - "Friends of St Jude's"!

Now, to be a "Friend of St Jude's" all you have to do is let us know about your fantastic events and sign a form pledging to spread the St Jude's word in the St Jude's way. Fundraising for the school is a very important job! And one we need plenty of help with....

I really feel that this is something that everyone will enjoy getting involved in as it’s a great excuse to get together with friends, family and colleagues, enjoy a relaxed chat about the children and the project you are a part of in Tanzania. I truly believe that word-of-mouth is such a powerful thing and Friends of St Jude's is designed just for that purpose.

We can help you design the event, provide you with fundraising information and even help you get some media attention if required. If you wanted to, we could also put you in touch with other "friends" in your area for a joint get-together.
