Dear Friends of St. Jude,

After many hurdles, and a few technical difficulties, I am finally able to write all of you about Friends of St. Jude. The reason why I am starting this newsletter is because at some point you have expressed a desire to become a Friend of St. Jude. I hope that this desire remains unchanged as I have some exciting new ideas coming your way.
To be a Friend of St. Jude is a very important part of the St. Jude community. I fully understand that not everyone can send money, or come to Arusha and help out at the School. What you can do, however, is spread awareness, which is such a monumental part of our success!!

My idea when starting this school was simple: fight poverty through education. At St. Jude this dream has become a reality for hundreds of deserving children. Through word of mouth, our school has received such amazing support and contributions, that in only six years we now have two schools filled with healthy, dedicated and intelligent faces delighted to be given the opportunity to study.

I am hoping that this support will continue, and that awareness about what can and is being done here at St. Jude will grow. As a Friend, you do not need to raise money, just tell your friends and family about us, pass my book on to someone who may enjoy it, or have a fun get together to discuss The School of St. Jude!
If you are interested in remaining or becoming a Friend of St. Jude, please e-mail  us on the school email, and you will be put in touch with our new friends coordinator Alex, who has come to us from Zurich, Switzerland, and will be handling Friends of St. Jude affairs, together with myself. We are hoping to continue the newsletter specifically for Friends, with updates and pictures of events that have been held. It will be a fantastic way to bring so many likeminded people together, and share ideas about the amazing events.

As we work hard on updating the website, our database and making Friends a bigger priority of the School, I would love to see some pictures of the events you have had! Please let Alexandra know if you need any promotional material, if you have ideas to share with other Friends, or simply wish to get in touch with us!
