Mother of Adili in Form 1 & cleaner at Usa River campus.
(Translated) I like it that my child is studying at St. Jude's because
1. The English language is really emphasized at school.
2. The number of children in any class is moderate.
3. The games at school are supervised and organized so as to let the child get the maximum benefit.
4. The children are provided with lunch and tea at school.

Before 2002, the area where the original Moshono campus is currently situated used to be farming land.
Now it is a booming school educating over 1150 eager Tanzanian students.
We were finally able to open our school hall. Within this hall is a big kitchen area, a stage area and most importantly, a large seating and table area so that all our staff and students can have their hot meals.
The children never complain about us not being able to buy more buses for them. They are just thankful they can come to school at all (even if they have to sit 4 deep!!)
The School of St Jude, Moshono Campus front gate.
We have found that we can buy very old second hand buses and do them up, for the same price as a newer model smaller size bus. This means that we can carry twice the number of children for the same price.
All the classrooms are built out of mud bricks. They are brought in by truck and every brick is counted (as we don't pay for bricks that broke during the transport!!)
With the ever-increasing student population, wooden formwork for new classrooms is a common sight.
With over 1150 students in the school, there is strong demand for the few seats on the buses. Our buses are extremely overpacked but as there is no government assistance given to the school, the children are happy to sit 4 deep on a seat.
Even though there are more sets of swings in the school thanks to donors, the lines never seem to get shorter!!
Over Christmas 2004 another 6 classrooms were built so as to be able to take in another 150 new sponsored children into the school in 2005.
Our students at our Usa River Campus are very proud of their new beautiful St Jude campus.
Every week students, staff and visitors can attend our weekly assembly. Assemblies are filled with entertaining performance for all to enjoy.
Students get the chance to perform in different plays throughout the year.
The students get to take advantage of learning resources donated from around the world.
In 2009 our oldest students entered Form one the first year of secondary. They are proud to be standing outside of their new secondary class rooms.
The Std 6 students enjoying having access to our new library at the Usa River Campus not only during weekly classes, but at break and lunch time.
Seeing their smiling faces makes all of the hard work worth every minute.
