Q1. What payment methods does the school accept?

Via our website, The School of St Jude accepts Australian dollar payments by Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, cheque and direct deposit.
Credit Card:
We understand that you may be concerned about credit card security over the internet.
The School of St. Jude uses National Australia Bank Secure Internet Payment Service to process credit card payments. National Australia Bank is one of Australia's largest banks and their online payment service is a trusted and secure system that uses industry standard 128 bit SSL encryption technology to secure all transactions.

PayPal is a widely-accepted, free and secure online payment service which allows you to make secure payments for online purchases. PayPal makes it easy to fund purchases by either a credit card or a bank account.

Cheque:
The School of St. Jude accepts personal, business and bank cheques. We encourage Australian residents to register their cheque payment through our website.

Q2. What currencies does the school accept?
The School of St Jude is operated by an Australian-based charity, The East Africa Fund Incorporated (CFN 16123). Our donation and sponsorship programs are based on Australian dollars (AUD).
Online credit card payments on our website through the National Australia Bank payment option allow Visa and MasterCard payments regardless of the currency that the credit card was issued for. Please be aware that most banks charge a small transaction fee for currency conversion into Australian dollars.
Online payments on our website through the PayPal payment option similarly allow international Visa and MasterCard payments as well as all the major currencies supported if you have a PayPal account. Please be aware that there may be a small transaction fee charged for currency conversion into Australian dollars.

The School of St. Jude also provides PayPal as another payment option for people with a PayPal account or also to process credit card payments. PayPal is a trusted and secure system that uses industry standard 128 bit SSL encryption technology to secure all commerce transactions.
Q4. Are my sponsorship fees tax-deductible?
For Australia:
All donation and sponsorship contributions over AUD $2.00 are tax deductible when payment is made via our website or to tax-deductible bank accounts advised by us. We encourage you to make your tax-deductible payment through our website (www.schoolofstjude.org). These payments are made to The East African Fund, an Australian-based supporter of the school. Payments made through the website will receive a tax receipt upon completion of the payment process. Tax receipts will be sent to supporters paying with alternate methods within 4 weeks of the end of each Australian financial year in June. If you would like a tax receipt sooner, please make contact with us and we will make the necessary arrangements. This is only possible with the very kind assistance of Rotary Australia Worldwide Community Services.
For America:
US-based donors and sponsors can support our activities in a tax-efficient way through a contribution or sponsorship payment to The School of St Jude – American Fund at the King Baudouin Foundation United States (KBFUS). Because KBFUS is a public charity, within the meaning of Sections 501 (c)(3) and 509 (a)(1) of the IRC, donors and sponsors may claim the maximum tax benefits allowed by US tax law for their contributions and sponsorship fees. KBFUS will send to each donor contributing USD $250 or more an acknowledgement of his or her donation, as requested by US tax law.

NZ-based donors and sponsors can support our activities in a tax-efficient way by making their contribution to Rotary New Zealand World Community Services (RNZWCS). For more information about RNZWCS visit www.rnzwcs.org.
For United Kingdom:
UK-based donors and sponsors can support our activities in a tax-efficient way by making their contribution to Liverpool Charity and Voluntary Services (LCVS). Contributions from individuals to LCVS (St Jude's School) can be eligible for Gift Aid and gifts of shares/land/property and Legacies can be made tax-efficiently. Company donations are eligible to be offset against Corporation Tax. LCVS is helping St Jude's and its supporters to maximize the benefit of their giving. For the rest of the world:
On receipt of your donation or sponsorship contribution, The School of St Jude will issue a general receipt by email in the currency received.
