Gemma Sisia is one of the most remarkable and inspiring people I have ever met. Having visited the School of St Jude in 2009 while in the region climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, I have seen first-hand the great work Gemma and her team are doing for some of the poorest communities on the earth.

I am pleased to endorse this unique charity. In fact, I was so impressed with Gemma and the story of St Jude’s that I invited her to speak at the 23rd Annual Australian Parliamentary Breakfast (November 2009) in Canberra. I look forward to following the progress of The School of St Jude.

Go On Safari

Go on Safari to see some of the best wildlife in Africa!

The School of St Jude is situated in Arusha, Tanzania’s safari capital. Arusha town is the gateway to popular EastAfricanNational Parks and game reserves such as Ngorongoro Crater, the vast plains of the Serengeti, LakeManyara, Tarangire and ArushaNational Park. From a thrilling, but safe position in the back of a safari 4-wheel drive, visitors can experience close encounters with the wildlife that Africa is famous for. Spotting the most popular 'must see' animals such as lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, rhinos, zebras and giraffes has visitors clicking cameras and brandishing binoculars all day long. But no less exciting are the sightings of comical warthogs, graceful antelopes and migrating wildebeest.

And remember that Zanzibar Island is great for swimming and diving, Rwanda for gorilla trekking and Kenya to see the Masai Mara and they are all located next door!

St Jude’s recommends Safais-R-Us to organise camping and lodge safaris in Tanzania, Rwanda and Kenya. They can also organise transport, flights within East Africa, guides, cooks, accommodation, food, tents, mattresses, park fees etc. All you have to do is bring lots of film!
