Mother of Franciska, Class 5 at Upper Moshono campus.
(Translated)
The students at St. Jude study happily and get all necessary things like uniforms, exercise books, etc… and it’s all free which is different compared to other schools, even government schools. The school is modern with many teachers, and they use new technology. The school also takes a good care of the students’ health, and makes the students good translators and makes them confident. Because of inflation in Tanzania, it is very difficult to send more than one child to school, but the school of St. Jude helped me to sponsor Fransiska so I managed to send her young sister to another school. Many thanks go to The School of St. Jude management. God bless Gemma, we are lucky to have her in Tanzania!

An opportunity to see Africa's most famous residents in their natural environment
This exotic coral island off the coast of Tanzania has excited travelers for centuries. The Arabian influenced architecture and culture of Zanzibar give visitors to Africa a chance to experience a contrasting environment to the ones they may have traveled through on the mainland of East Africa.
Save room for the famous Zanzibar Pizza at the Night Markets! Food stalls magically appear in what was a scruffy, harbor side park by day. As the sun sets, hurricane lamps and stars illuminate large wooden benches piled high with fresh seafood, shish kebabs, naan breads, fresh fruits, sugar cane drinks freshly squeezed by contraptions that resemble Granny’s old mangle washing machine and …The Zanzibar Pizza! This legendary pan fried gastronomic glob of mince, onions, spices, cheese and egg wrapped in a thin pastry is an art form and, when fried golden brown, chopped into small squares and splattered with lemon juice, is eaten with a toothpick. One is never enough!
After all the shopping, eating and exploring it may be necessary to recuperate at one of the many beach resort areas around the coast where you can laze on expanses of fine white sand and cool off in the turquoise waters before enjoying an evening cocktail in front of a drift wood fire on the beach as the sun sets.
