The motto, “Fighting poverty through education”, says it all. You can see that all the donated resources, human and financial, are used directly to achieve this aim. By participating in the yearly medical checks, I hope that I can help ensure the students maintain good health to enable them to learn effectively.
The story of the humble beginnings of a school run by international volunteers is inspirational; but the focus on building the capacity of local Tanzanians to run a school of such high caliber is proving to have even wider, more positive impacts than could be imagined. From the students, to their parents, teachers, office staff, cooks, cleaners, drivers, gardeners, guards…..the flow on effects of fighting poverty through education are visible everywhere throughout the St Judes.
