As we reflect on the past year, we are overwhelmed with gratitude for the incredible support we've received from our alumni, both here in Tanzania and around the world. Your unwavering commitment to our mission has allowed us to achieve remarkable milestones and make a lasting impact on the lives of our students. We would like to share with you three inspiring events where our alumni demonstrated exceptional dedication and generosity.
TanSaf: Empowering Our Students to Reach for the Stars
This year, we were thrilled with the exceptional academic achievements of our Form 6 class of 2023. Two of our students were selected to join TanSaf, a prestigious program that only accepts the top ten students in the entire country. We are immensely proud of Alex, a graduate of St Jude's from the class of 2015, who played a pivotal role in this achievement. He not only helped these two talented students secure their spots in the program but also extended his support by contributing towards their accommodation and transportation.
With the generous contributions from our alumni, these two students are currently immersed in intensive test preparations and workshops in Dar es Salaam. Their journey towards success has been made possible by your support, and we are deeply grateful for your commitment to their dreams.
Alumni Jersey: Building Team Spirit and Unity
Football has always been a beloved sport at St Jude's, from primary school to secondary school. However, to make this idea a reality, we needed football kits.
Thanks to Godlove Shija, an alum from the class of 2016, who took it upon himself to raise funds for these jerseys. The response was nothing short of incredible. 13 alumni came forward, contributing a total of TZS280,000 to purchase the jerseys. This not only exceeded our expectations but also ensured that we now have jerseys that can be used for future events. No more borrowing!
Sports Jerseys for the School: Enhancing Student Engagement
During this year's Alumni Reunion on September 30, 2023, our Alumni came together and raised TZS659,600 at the entrance. This was a collective effort from alumni spanning from the class of 2015 to 2023. The funds raised have been directed towards providing sports jersey for the school. we are certain that our alumni will take great pride in seeing the students actively participating in various sports while wearing the jerseys they generously contributed for.
