St Jude’s Snapshots

In case you missed it, here’s what’s been happening at St Jude’s over the last quarter!

Harvesting

Students recently harvested 695 mangoes from the local and hybrid trees in the school's farm. Since the season began in January, more than 4,000 mangoes have been collected so far, helping to nourish our school community with more still to come.

Form 5 student intake

This quarter, we held our Form 5 Scholarship Application Day, where prospective students undertook an entrance examination as part of the admissions process into St Jude’s.

Every drop counts

Facing Tanzania’s critical blood shortage, St Jude’s students and staff recently came together in March to donate blood in support of local hospitals, offering a simple but life-saving gift to those in need.

Innovation in action

We held our annual Science Fair, where students showcased innovative projects in science, coding, mathematics and creative design under the theme “Empowering Innovation through 21st Century Skills.”

TechOne Fundraiser

A huge thanks to TechnologyOne for supporting St Jude’s through a recent staff giving initiative, where employees selected us as one of their Foundation partners of choice.

Cultural Day

We recently hosted Cultural Day at the Girls’ Secondary School, where students brought this year’s theme, “Our Culture in the Digital Age,” to life through traditional dance, art, storytelling and fashion, sharing what culture means to them in their own unique ways.
