About the Artwork and Artist

Denis joined The School of St Jude in 2014 at 8 years old. He is part of the Sandawe tribe which is part of an agricultural ethnic group based in the Dodoma Region of central Tanzania.

The Sandawe language is tonal and uses clicks, similar to the Khoe language of southern Africa.

Hoping to one day become an architect, Denis excels at art, geography and mathematics.
