The main focus of this painting is a woman who stands tall and strong showing the natural beauty of Black skin in all its shades.

This artwork pays tribute to the elegance, strength, and confidence that Black women show when they are proud of their unique colour and heritage.

About the Artwork and Artist

Violeth joined The School of St Jude in 2016 at age 8.

She is part of the Chagga tribe who are the Bantu ethnic group from Kilimanjaro region of Tanzania. They are the third largest ethnic group in Tanzania.

She loves science subjects and her dream is to become a doctor in future.
