Genia joined The School of St Jude in 2014 at the age of 8
She is part of the Nyha tribe, an ethnic and linguistic group based in southwestern Tanzania and northeastern Zambia. Nyha are traditionally weavers, iron workers, hunters, and some own cattle, goats, and poultry. They grow cash crops of maize, millet, and coffee.
Her favourite subject is art.
