Partner with us and empower the next generation of global leaders

At The School of St Jude, we nurture Tanzania’s brightest minds from poor communities, equipping them with the academic excellence, leadership, and resilience to thrive globally. Each year, dozens of our exceptional graduates apply for fully-funded international university opportunities, with many excelling in competitive environments thanks to their strong academic performance, community service, and holistic development.

We invite international scholarship providers, universities, and access organisations to visit our campus and experience firsthand the immense potential of our alumni. Our dedicated team offers structured nomination, thorough application support, mock interviews, test preparation, and pre-departure readiness, all aimed at ensuring successful placement and smooth transitions.

Setting the standard: A group of St Jude’s graduates as they prepare to begin the next chapter at leading international universities.

We’re looking for long-term partners who can:

  • Offer fully-funded undergraduate or postgraduate opportunities
  • Waive or subsidise application and testing fees
  • Provide mentorship, summer programs, and culturally safe campus communities
  • Encourage scholars to return to their home countries or contribute to Africa post-graduation.

Your support of a St Jude’s graduate is an investment in transformative leadership for Tanzania and Africa’s future. We welcome your visit to explore partnerships, meet our students, and collaborate on empowering this generation of changemakers.

  • Every year, St Jude’s invites thousands of talented candidates from government schools across three regions of Northern Tanzania (Arusha, Manyara and Kilimanjaro) to attend our Scholarship Application Days.
  • The scholarship application process is highly competitive and involves both academic testing and poverty assessment. These steps ensure that the students who are offered scholarships are academically talented and from underprivileged backgrounds.
  • St Jude’s aims to offer scholarships to students who will benefit the most from the free, quality education offered.

You can find more details on our grading system and curriculum here.

English as a Second Language (ESL) is a special program that helps our students reach an international standard of English competence. Students learn ESL through in-person and online lessons. In addition to these classes, students learn touch typing, a valuable skill in today’s digital world, through a comprehensive and engaging program.

Our secondary school graduates can join our community service program where they volunteer as teachers in understaffed government schools or in non-teaching placements throughout St Jude’s. It is an opportunity of giving back in appreciation for the free education they received at St Jude’s whilst also gaining valuable life skills.

The program comes in two forms, Community Service Semester (CSS) for Form 4 graduates or a Community Service Year (CSY) for Form 6 graduates. Since 2015, our community service participants have voluntarily taught core subjects to 180,000+ students in local government schools that don’t have enough teachers.

To offer a truly holistic education St Jude’s supplements the national curriculum with additional subjects. This includes physical education (PE) lessons, sports, art, music, religion, Information Communication Technology (ICT), English as a Second Language (ESL), career guidance and typing.

Students also participate in Extracurricular Activities (ECAs) and clubs as diverse as computer club, tembo club (anti-poaching), public speaking, shamba project (shamba means farm in Kiswahili), choir and drama to name a few. Students also have the opportunity to engage in student government and holiday programs.

These experiences teach our students invaluable skills of teamwork, leadership, and continuous personal development whilst consistently performing well in regional and national sports competitions.

Our office assists families needing financial assistance through a comprehensive analysis of the family’s financial status. This includes guiding families through the financial aid application process and composing support letters specific to their overall financial status and specific needs.

Domestic universities and colleges
Through the Beyond St Jude’s Scholarship Program, The School of St Jude supports 400+ graduates through higher education scholarships so they can study at accredited Tanzanian universities and colleges. These scholarships cover diploma and bachelor’s degree programs offered through 50 Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) registered under the Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) and the National Council for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (NACTVET). You can view the full list of HEIs in our school profile here.

We invite universities and colleges across Tanzania to visit our secondary campuses in Arusha, learn about our programs, engage with our students and strengthen the bridge between access and success in higher education.

Our partners

  • St Jude's students are exceptional. I've shared videos of their work with my manager, and she was equally impressed. Beyond their academic strength, scholars from St Jude's have settled in beautifully, they successfully matriculated, received their laptops and welcome packages, and are already making their mark on campus. We are so confident in the quality of St Jude's applicants that we have reserved additional spots for qualified students from the school in upcoming intakes. We look forward to a long and fruitful partnership.
