St Jude's firmly upholds the principle of equal opportunity for all, regardless of tribe, family, or gender, in accessing education, resources, and opportunities. Over the years the school has taken intentional steps to create a supportive environment where women and girls can thrive and impact their communities.
First a quick note of the school system here in Tanzania; there are seven years of primary school from Standard 1 to 7, then four years of secondary school called Ordinary Level (O Level) from Form 1 to 4, and then the final two years of secondary school called Advanced Level (A Level), Form 5 and 6.
Your support enables St Jude’s to foster equal opportunities and the empowerment of girls and women. Donate Today.
This is so wonderful to see. I had mostly female teachers throughout school but especially in high school and they were a physical, daily reminder of passion and achievement. I am delighted that these numbers are the way they are today. Agency, choice, role models for every student and community member to see. Congratulations to St Jude's!!!
That is indeed very true. Our teachers are a living example and a constant reminder to our girls to pursue and achieve their dreams. Thank you!
Congratulations on your continued sensitive commitment to justice for women in education and for the growing evidence of this valuable service to Tanzania and our world. I am aware such a goal will face its challenges to deter perseverance. May the graces you have received strengthen you all to rejoice in the growth and influence of your plans.
God bless you Gemma and teams,
(Sr) Jacinta Rice CSB
Amen and thank you very much!
